Pamelia Stanley

PameliaPamelia Stanley was born Pamelia Lucille Gore in Whiteville, NC.  She lived in the small town of Tabor City, North Carolina until she was 18. She attended a church in Green Sea, South Carolina named Mitchell Sea Baptist Church. There, Pamelia began her journey of public speaking at the early age of 6. She was involved in everything from the sunbeam choir to a youth usher. She credits her mother Geraldine & grandmother Elizabeth with instilling in her the values that molded her later life and career.

Pam as many of her friends call her attended Tabor City Middle School until she reached the eighth grade. She then transitioned to South Columbus High School. While in school she was a member of the Academically Gifted Society along with Yearbook, Beta Club, and The Nationals Honor Society just to name a few. Her junior year in high school would be her most challenging yet enjoyable year. She took a course titled Financial Management. Through that course Pamelia discovered her love for numbers and decided to pursue a career in Accounting. She would also meet and date a guy that would later become her husband.

Throughout her high school years Pamelia was very active. When she wasn’t attending a sports event, she could be found at a church function or at work. She spent two years working as a cashier to earn money to support herself. Her last two years of high school she worked as a Pharmacist Technician for a local drug store in Loris, South Carolina. Her need for independence kept her working.

When she wasn’t spending her time with school or church events, Pamelia volunteered at Tabor City Head Start. Her passion for giving and helping others has always been a driving force for her. It only made sense she would venture into an area that would allow her to continue her love for business while also helping others. She and her older sister Regina would later become cofounders of the women’s ministry EWATE.com.

Pamelia entered North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in 1999 as a freshman seeking an undergraduate degree in Accounting. Over the next four years she would spend her time pursuing her financial career while volunteering with a school sponsored program called PAL (Peer Advising Leadership). Through this program she helped dozens of freshmen transition into college life and pursue their dreams. She helped them with everything from registering for classes to taking them to the grocery store. Pamelia graduated from North Carolina A&T in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. She continues to give back and support her school functions when possible.

In 2005, she married her high school sweet heart Oliver Stanley Jr. Oliver & Pamelia still reside in North Carolina. She is currently employed at Ply Gem where she carries the title of Credit Analyst. Oliver is proud of her giving and supports her. "It makes a difference when you have a spouse that loves you enough to support your goals and dreams," says Stanley. She also partners with her husband in running his Automotive Repair business. Her dream is to mentor, tutor, coach, and assist women for a better tomorrow. And right now she is living out her dream.
